Esta guía para mamás es una herramienta útil para las que están considerando leer o enseñar a sus hijas el libro Lies Girls Believe And the Truth that Sets Them Free by Dannah Gresh - Moody Publishers (puedes leer mi review aquí), es decir, no sólo regalárselos sino acompañarlas en esa lectura) o poder comentar extras con ellas. Es necesario tener herramientas para las hijas. Conozco a mamás que jamás se les ocurriría cómo abordar estos temas con ellas, este libro puede serles de mucha utilidad. Comentaba en mi post anterior que es muy emocionante ver un libro nacer, y cuando son dos que se complementan es para celebrar. Lo práctico de Dannah Gresh, es que en sus libros explica de manera comprensible y sencilla, incluso con ejemplos, cómo hacerlo. Sin embargo considero que son libros que se pueden leer por separado y aún así sirven. Si estás indecisa puedes leer primero este y luego ver el de las niñas, aunque yo comprendo comprar los dos de una vez.
La Guía para mamás, está diseñada para hacer más sencillo el hablar de estos temas, aunque una mujer no tenga mucha experiencia al tratarlos (sobre todo los actuales, como el manejo de la tecnología, o presiones modernas), será sencillo que se involucre y pueda guiarla a través de esas verdades. Creo que también lo puede hacer una tía, abuela o mujer involucrada en la vida de una niña, si es que ella no tiene mamá. Al caminar juntas por el contenido de este libro, considero que será más memorable e intencional a que si lo leen solas, en mi opinión. Es una excelente idea que se generen guías como esta para las mamás que no tienen tanta creatividad o ideas sobre cómo se enseña a pequeñas sobre temas importantes.
En la guía abarca temas que no incluye el libro para niñas, decisión que considero muy sensata, ya que hay algunos muy fuertes que considero que cada mamá deberá decidir cuándo tratar con sus pequeñas. Te sirve para abrir los ojos ante las realidades que muchas niñas están experimentando y que sus mamás consideran que ellas son muy ingenuas o inocentes. Hay situaciones escalofriantes, pero reaes.
Recibí la guía el año pasado para su revisión y me emociona contarte que será parte de mi "curriculum" con mi hija. El lanzamiento oficial de los libros es el 5 de Febrero 2019, pero ordenarlos ya en preventa!, (tanto el libro para niñas, como la Guía para mamás).
Los conceptos y consejos son contraculturales, sí, pero les animo a examinarlo todo siempre, investigar profundo y retener lo bueno, aplicarlo y disfrutarlo. Hay varias personas que han hecho reviews muy poco objetivos, aseveraciones de crítica y denigración infundada. Les invito a leer el libro completo y juzgar por ustedes mismas. Lamento la falta de ética al criticar sin conocer o investigar bien, o el por qué de las cosas, ¿para qué tomar un libro que sabes que es cristiano? simplemente porque no simpatizas con los autores o su línea de pensamiento y quieres criticarlo o hacer mofa del contenido? Se me hace algo lamentable, sólo desean boicotear estos esfuerzos. La intención de la autora es clara y puedes notar que en todo momento es el bienestar físico, mental, espiritual y emocional de las niñas en todas sus relaciones, y obviamente también de sus mamás.
Te animo a adquirir este combo para ir formando niñas verdaderas :)

This guide for moms is a useful tool for those who are considering reading or teaching their daughters the book Lies Girls Believe and the Truth that Sets Them Free by Dannah Gresh - Moody Publishers (you can read my review here), that is, not only give them away but accompany them in that reading) or comment extras with them.
It is necessary to have tools for the daughters. I know moms who would never think of how to approach these issues with them, this book can be very useful. I commented in my previous post that it is very exciting to see a book born, and when there are two that complement each other it is very useful. It is the practicality of Dannah Gresh, who in her books explains in an understandable and simple way, even with examples of how to do it. However, I think they are books that can be read separately and still serve.
The Guide for moms, is designed to make it easier to talk about these issues, even if a woman does not have much experience in dealing with them (especially current ones, such as technology management, or modern pressures), it will be easy to get involved and I can guide her through those truths. I think it can also be done by an aunt, grandmother or woman involved in the life of a girl, if she does not have a mother. When walking together for the content of this book, I consider that it will be more memorable and intentional than if they read it alone, in my opinion. It is an excellent idea that guides like this one are generated for moms who do not have as much creativity or ideas on how to teach little ones about important issues.
If you are a mom, I recommend reading this guide, it covers topics that the book does not include for girls, a decision that I consider very sensible, since there are some very strong ones that I consider that each mother should decide when to deal with her children. It helps you to open your eyes to the realities that many girls are experiencing and that their mothers consider that they are very naive or innocent.
I also received the guide last year for its review and I am excited to tell you that it will be part of my "curriculum" with my daughter. The official release of the books is February 5, 2019, but order them already in presale !, (both the book for girls, as the Guide for moms).
I want to emphasize that if you are familiar with the other books in the series (Lies That Young Women Believe and Lies Women Believe) the process of deepening with them, according to their needs and age, will be easier for you, and this does not mean that the content is the same, no. In addition both Nancy and Dannah have very different styles when writing.
The concepts and advice are countercultural, yes, but I encourage you to always examine everything, to investigate deeply and retain the good, apply it and enjoy it. There are several people who have made very un-objective reviews, critical assertions and unfounded denigration. I invite you to read the entire book and judge for yourselves. I regret the lack of ethics to criticize without knowing or researching well, or why, knowing that they do not sympathize with the authors or lines of thought with the content (as it is very clear in the description) only want to boycott these efforts. Well, the intention of the author you can notice that at all times is the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of girls in all their relationships, and obviously also their mothers.
I encourage you to acquire this combo to go forming true girls :)
